Parisian fashion label Ami to open first Thailand outpost at Emporium in Bangkok

Ami, the Parisian fashion brand founded by Alexandre Mattiussi in 2011, is slated to open its debut store in Thailand’s capital on January 5.

The brand announced the development on its Instagram page, revealing the store’s location at M Floor in Bangkok’s Emporium mall. The opening is in collaboration with Thai brand distributor PP Group, whose brands include Longchamp, Maison Kitsuné and Café Kitsuné, Casetify, and Tory Burch, among others.

Ami’s products, ranging from apparel to accessories, draws inspiration from its roots, offering inclusive wardrobes for both men and women. The name “Ami,” derived from the French word for friend, also reflects the initials of its founder and creative director, Alexandre Mattiussi.

In 2022 Ami began making strides in Asia by establishing its first physical store in Seoul, South Korea. The flagship boutique was touted as the largest retail space in Ami’s global portfolio. Situated in Seoul’s Garosu-gil area, the store spans an expansive four-storey building, covering an impressive retail space of 300 square meters, and offers a curated selection of Ami’s esteemed menswear, womenswear, and accessories collections.

Ami also has multiple stores in Shanghai and Beijing. From November to December, the brand launched its inaugural café at Taikoo Li South Plaza in Beijing, a pop-up store concept drawing inspiration from the ambiance of a traditional Parisian café by incorporating Haussman-style elements.
