The lavish venue, designed to call to mind a luxury hotel, opened its doors on June 10 at its Gangnam branch.

Recognising the evolving landscape of retail, Shinsegae Department Store embarked on the project to transcend the conventional notions of a shopping destination and provide an elevated offering.

Spanning an impressive 7,273 square metres, the House of Shinsegae occupies a prime location between Shinsegae Department Store’s Gangnam branch and the JW Marriott Seoul. The new venue boasts a myriad of offerings, including a sprawling food hall, fashion and beauty concept stores, as well as luxury boutiques.

House of Shinsegae occupies the space vacated by Shinsegae Duty Free in 2021, when Shinsegae Department Store kicked off an extensive restoration project to reinvent the space.
