Lacoste names Pelagia Kolotouros creative design director

Kolotouros joins Lacoste from Adidas, where she was in charge of collaborations with Ivy Park and Pharrell Williams. Prior to that she was global creative director of The North Face. She has also spent time at Yeezy, Calvin Klein and Theory, after graduating from Parsons School of Design in New York.

“With her recognised expertise in developing collaborations with proven and unique influence, her ability to redefine creative models to elevate pieces to iconic status, and her talent for connecting cultures, particularly from fashion and sports, Pelagia has all the assets to accompany Lacoste in its new cycle of creative expression and in the pursuit of its ambition: to become the most inspiring French brand in fashion sports,” Lacoste deputy CEO Catherine Spindler said in a statement.

The news comes a month after the MF Brands-owned Lacoste announced the departure of its creative director Louise Trotter and said it would shift to a new collective model.

In December, Lacoste announced a new 15-year worldwide licensing agreement with Interparfums and the launch of a new perfume line in 2024, after wrapping up its existing licencing deal with Coty.

The brand will also be celebrating its 90th anniversary in 2023.
