Louis Vuitton has introduced a novel concept to Asia with ‘LV The Place Bangkok’ at Gaysorn Amarin, a destination that encompasses an immersive exhibition, café, store, and an earlier announced restaurant helmed by renowned chef Gaggan Anand.

Nestled within the downtown retail complex, LV The Place Bangkok spans two floors. Its corner location boasts a façade adorned with colossal diamond shapes.

Upon entering, visitors are greeted with a seamless fusion of retail, dining, and cultural experiences, creating a multi-faceted space that aims to captivate at every turn. The space serves as an invitation to explore the creative prowess that defines the Louis Vuitton universe today, according to the maison.

On the ground level is an exhibition called Visionary Journeys, offering an exploration of the maison’s rich heritage. Developed in collaboration with renowned architectural firm OMA and Partner Shohei Shigematsu, this exhibition marks the inaugural venture of the OMA and Louis Vuitton partnership, envisioning an architectural identity for the concept.

The immersive experience is divided into thematic rooms, each creating a distinct environment that recontextualises historical and contemporary pieces, such as the Trunkscape, a tunnel-like space formed by assembling 96 trunk modules.

Trunks from the late 19th century illustrate the brand’s origins as a trunk-maker, while examples of the iconic monogram canvas over the decades highlight the brand’s enduring innovation and evolution.

The exhibition’s next room pays homage to 25 years of fashion history at Louis Vuitton, featuring five iconic bag models—Alma, Keepall, Speedy, Noé, and Petite Malle. These bags, reinterpreted by the Maison’s artistic directors such as Marc Jacobs, Kim Jones, Nicolas Ghesquière, Virgil Abloh, and Pharrell Williams, exemplify the fusion of craftsmanship and style.

F&B offerings

Nestled on the ground floor, Le Café Louis Vuitton blends botanical design elements with the Maison’s aesthetics. From the monogram parquet floor to furniture inspired by the iconic Objets Nomades, every detail introduces a piece of the Louis Vuitton universe. On offer is a patisserie selection including cakes, tarts, parfaits, and ice cream sandwiches, each adorned with a signature Louis Vuitton touch.

The cafe also introduces a local twist in treats such as the Mango Sticky Rice Fizz, a refreshing iced beverage infused with mango and sticky rice syrup.

Situated on the upper level,  Indian chef Gaggan Anand presents Gaggan at Louis Vuitton, the maison’s first restaurant in Southeast Asia, offering seatings for both lunch and dinner.

Upon entry, diners are greeted by a pyramid of trunks leading to a room with undulating walls adorned with resin structures by Draga & Aurel, Monogram flower lamps, and fringed curtains.

The fine dining restaurant features ten Italian marble tables where guests will indulge in a seasonal menu exclusively crafted for Louis Vuitton, inspired by the 5 “S” – Sweet, Sour, Salty, Spicy, and Surprise. From Thai-inspired dressed lobster to a mushroom dish presented in a Damier pattern, each creation is artfully served on unique tableware. For those seeking an exceptional experience, a private dining room offers a glimpse into the kitchen at the press of a button.
