“We are thrilled to elevate the travel retail experience to new heights and redefine it with this partnership to create an unforgettable shopping destination.”

Kering Eyewear Global Head of Centralised Channels Omar Hagi added: “We are elated to strengthen our global partnership with Lagardère Travel Retail for this significant launch with their specialised expertise in Asia. This is a landmark store for Kering Eyewear as it marks the launch of our standalone concept in this market.

“Recognising Changi Airport as a pivotal hub within this region with best-in-class airport facilities, captivating attractions, and a constant penchant for innovation, we are delighted to join forces with our long-term partner Lagardère Travel Retail in bringing our vision to fruition. We are excited about all the opportunities this partnership brings and are confident that together, we will provide an unparalleled shopping experience for travellers.”

A digital retail concept

The store features the Kering Eyewear Digital Retail Concept, which aims to create an “immersive and interactive” shopping experience.

The digital screens showing branded videos can be updated and animated in real-time providing a new look to the store moving from a multi-brand layout to a single brand takeover with one click.

Digital screens are incorporated in tailored design fixtures, which offer a backdrop for the Kering Eyewear Collections.

The ambition of the Digital Retail Concept is to create “a state-of-the-art presentation platform for Kering Eyewear’s luxury brands, to elevate consumers’ in-store experience using an advanced digital approach and to engage customers and sales associates with tailormade needs,” said the partners.

Sustainable luxury

The boutique features an open space covered in rose gold marble accents and fuses sustainability and functionality.

It also embodies Lagardère Travel Retail’s aspirations to sustainability and commitment to reduce carbon footprint by employing green label materials throughout the construction.

Most raw materials were locally sourced and eco-friendly paint, recycled acrylic and sustainable materials have been chosen to uphold environmental responsibility. LED lighting is used for its energy efficiency and longevity.
