Maison Margiela X Gentle Monster collab pops up in Beijing, Shanghai, Seoul, Singapore

Following the announcement of a collaboration between South Korean luxury eyewear brand Gentle Monster and the Parisian fashion house Maison Margiela, pop-up stores are slated to be held in seven cities around the world: New York, London, Seoul, Singapore, as well as in Shanghai, Beijing, and Chengdu in mainland China.

Available in a limited amount, a special cushion will be on offer to customers at the pop-up stores on a first-come, first-served basis.

In the past, Gentle Monster has collaborated with other fashion houses including Fendi and Moncler, and celebrities such as Blackpink star Jennie Kim.

Conceived by creative director John Galliano and Gentle Monster, the genderless line of sunglasses and spectacles span 11 designs and numerous colourways, and was earlier released worldwide on February 28.

Alongside the collaborative pop-up concepts,  the Maison Margiela x Gentle Monster collection will be available at both brands’ online and offline stores as well as select stores around the world.

The pop-ups take signature Maison Margiela motifs including the black mask and fabric details, executed in Gentle Monster’s distinctive aesthetic.
