Described as a first of its kind, the ‘La Prairie Art of Beauty Lounge’ offers a customised luxury spa service available to all travellers.

It features a welcome room where guests are greeted with refreshments and receive bespoke skin consultations from a beauty advisor. It also has two private treatment rooms where customers can relax in “the ultimate treatment bed.”

Visitors can fully personalise their experience from choosing music to the selection of pressure and scent to immerse their senses.

Located directly post-security, La Prairie is the only beauty brand to hold two locations in Heinemann Duty Free, with the nearby La Prairie retail space complementing the Art of Beauty Lounge.

The Art of Beauty treatment combines a deep-cleansing facial massage and application of La Prairie products to ensure the client’s skin is hydrated, rejuvenated and fully flight-ready. These include ‘Platinum Rare’, which helps refine the skin’s surface and reduce lines and wrinkles while providing comfort and softness. ‘Pure Gold’ gives the skin a healthy glow, while ‘Skin Caviar’ enables a “total transformation,” making the skin taut and supple. The ‘White Caviar Collection’ firms the skin’s texture, leaving it smooth, even and illuminated.

Besides the facial treatments, the lounge also offers additional express services available at the counter. These include ‘Instant Eye Revive’, a signature eye massage for a smooth, firm and brighter look. The ‘Skin Caviar Hand and Arm Massage’ allows guests to relax and unwind with a pampering service featuring the Skin Caviar collection.

The ‘Art of Perfection’ involves a beauty advisor selecting and applying products that best suit the guest’s skin, leaving it glowing with renewed vitality. The ‘Complexion Application’ is also available for the customer to experience the textures and finishes in La Prairie’s ‘Skin Caviar Complexion’ creations.

All services can be pre-booked through the La Prairie website. La Prairie said all treatments are created to hydrate and relax guests’ skin and to prepare it for the changes in aircraft oxygen, air pressure, light exposure and temperature during travel.

La Prairie Managing Director Australia and New Zealand Rosi Fernandez commented: “The La Prairie Art of Beauty Lounge project is the exciting culmination of the long-standing collaboration with our partners at Heinemann Tax and Duty Free – after the incredible success of our original Art of Luxury pop-up suite trialled in 2019.”

She added: “La Prairie has a desire to offer the highest luxury experience in international travel, with bespoke treatments that can be booked in advance. The Art of Beauty Lounge will deliver the ultimate relaxation experience to discerning clients who seek out the best, not just at home, but also when they travel. We are thrilled to be bringing a unique service experience to Sydney Airport to allow guests to enjoy either a luxury service in a private suite, or our express services that can be performed at the counter.

“The suite combines the best of Swiss design, embodying the values of our House, together with the dynamic, linear and deceptively minimal art by New Zealand-born, Australia-based artist, Dion Horstmans.”

Heinemann Tax and Duty Free Australia Managing Director George Tsoukalas commented: “We are delighted to launch La Prairie’s spectacular Art of Beauty Lounge at Sydney Airport.

“With this beautiful and unique service experience, we are creating yet another compelling reason to arrive at the airport early.  The unmatched experience that La Prairie offers at the new Art of Beauty Lounge perfectly complements the atmosphere and brand offer that we have crafted with our luxury beauty and fashion stores, newly opened in February 2023.”

La Prairie Asia and Travel Retail Vice President Noelle Goris said: “We are extremely proud of our La Prairie Australian team for pioneering this true luxury execution with Heinemann at Sydney Airport. Every detail has been considered for the travelling client and is incorporated in the La Prairie Art of Beauty Lounge.

“From the welcome refreshment in our Swiss-designed suite, to the exceptional service experience each guest will receive, and of course, the most luxurious signature facial massages with techniques and applications especially designed for hydrated and glowing skin for onward travel. A La Prairie immersion is set to be the perfect way to commence international travel forever.”
