India’s Su-Raj sees future as bright, expects USD880m turnover this fiscal

In its efforts to expand its business, the Su-Raj Group – a leading Indian diamond and jewellery export company – has proposed to invest close to INR200 crore (INR2 billion, USD45.14 million) over the next 3-5 years.

The company, which has been in the gem and jewellery business for over 70 years, exports to West and East Asia and Europe, and recorded a turnover of INR3,000 crore (INR30 billion, USD677.12 million) last year, which is expected to touch INR3,900 crore (INR39 billion, USD880.26 million) in the current fiscal year.

Su-Raj has tied up with Pantaloon Retail India Ltd to sell its jewellery in Big Bazaar stores under the brand name Navras, in addition to more than 50 outlets across India.
