Taiwan’s Hon Hai Precision Industry Co. said it will expand "extensively" in China, both at its existing locations and in new ones, dismissing recent media reports the firm might pull out of the country.
The comments come amid increasing scrutiny of labour conditions in China following a spate of employee suicides at Hon Hai’s Shenzhen production base and concerns that Taiwanese contract manufacturers will be forced to find cheaper production locations as labour costs in China continue to rise.
