The new stores can be found at key shopping centres in each respective city. That includes Central Park and Lippo Kemang Village in Jakarta; Bintaro Exchange in Tangerang; Pasirkaliki in Bandung; Aeon Sentul in Bogor; and Pakuwon Mall in Surabaya.

The news comes as Sociolla, a branch of beauty-technology company Social Bella, opened its first store last year in West Java. The company said that with this latest store rollout the five cities were chosen based on acquired digital data, which displayed significant growth in these consumer hubs.

“The opening of the new stores is a form of our commitment tovprovide a fun and comprehensive shopping experience,” Social Bella Indonesia co-founder and CMO, Chrisanti Indiana, said in a statement, reported the Jakarta Post.

In-store, shoppers can download and install the SOCO app to scan product barcodes and read reviews on the app. There is also the option to select products online and pay in-store. Health and safety measures are also in place in-store, via the provision of hand sanitizer and masks.

Founded in 2014, Sociolla describes itself at the leading beauty and personal care e-commerce player in Indonesia.

Similar to beauty heavyweights Sephora and Mecca, the company retails beauty products from both local and global brands, including makeup, skincare products and body care.
