COO Heiko Schäfer leaves Hugo Boss for Mammut Sports Group

Heiko Schäfer, Chief Operating Officer of HUGO BOSS AG, will leave the company’s Managing Board on May 31, 2022, for Swiss outdoor brand Mammut Sports Group.

Heiko Schäfer joined HUGO BOSS in March 2020, and is responsible for global product development and sourcing, as well as manufacturing, logistics, and sustainability. HUGO BOSS has made progress under his leadership in digitalizing and streamlining the company’s product development and logistics, realigning the Group’s manufacturing, and bolstering its sustainability efforts, such as doubling the share of responsible styles in the collections.

“Heiko Schäfer had an important impact in building an effective, digitized, and more sustainable Operations backbone since joining the company. His work also helped to stabilize HUGO BOSS during the COVID-19 crisis, and accelerate afterwards with full force,” says Hermann Waldemer, Chairman of the Supervisory Board of HUGO BOSS. “We thank Heiko Schäfer for his excellent contribution, and wish him all the best for his future endeavours.”
