Coach Airways pop-up touches down in Malaysia

Coach has announced the opening of Coach Airways, an immersive pop-up experience with café and limited-edition travel collection; the first retail concept of its kind for the U.S. luxury brand.

Located in Malaysia’s Freeport A’Famosa Outlet, a shopping destination in Malacca, Coach Airways is built inside a real aircraft spanning across 4,198 square feet.

Blending Coach’s New York design codes with architectural elements that reference the ‘70s golden era of air travel, the space features a cockpit as well as passenger and lounge cabins in retro colorways and prints, reimagined with iconic house touches.

The pop-up also includes a retail cabin spotlighting unisex ready-to-wear, bags and travel accessories. Coach will also release an exclusive Coach Airways Collection featuring a selection of T-shirts, a passport leather case, a wheeled carry-on luggage bag, and field tote and travel accessories such as luggage tags, pouches and small wallets, printed with a limited-edition reimagination of the house’s iconic signature.

Finally, the debut Coach Airways space also features the house’s second installment of the marque’s Coach Café — first launched in Singapore earlier this year – where customers can enjoy artisanal coffee and other beverages, while they shop.

The pop-up comes on the back of a pink Tabby bag pop-up opening from Coach in New Delhi, which opened in May.
