THE FOREST celebrates its fifth anniversary

THE FOREST, a sports retail hub jointly developed by New World Development Company and Urban Renewal Authority (URA), operated by the K11 Group, has stepped into its fifth anniversary in 2022. In the second quarter of 2022, THE FOREST showed over 35 percent growth in overall footfall and sales compared to last year’s same period. Both footfall and sales are expected to rise at the end of this year.

The worldwide fashion marketplace, StockX, landed in THE FOREST for its first physical retail store in Asia last year. Without sending the sneakers or goods to the office in the US, StockX proceeds with the trade in the Hong Kong authentication center for verification to ensure the good’s quality and authenticity. The whole process and transportation time shortens from two weeks to around three days.

The second floor of THE FOREST is for outdoor sports equipment and clothing. Popular brands such as Salomon, Black Diamond, and Style Plus have exclusive stores on the dedicated floor with different gears for hiking, skiing, and water sports.

THE FOREST held its first “Sneaker Street Festival” last year. It’s returning this year in collaboration with local designers and elites in the industry. Under the theme of street culture, the festival brought together a NFT ART BATTLE with Indie bands to a younger audience.

Additionally, THE FOREST has introduced “SPORTS EXPO”, the first virtual sports arena in the mall, that occupies about 2,100 square feet. To celebrate Hong Kong athletics’ achievements and demonstrate local sports development in an innovative way, the arena offers free interactive games and LED Arena to customers.
