Authentic Brands Group appoints Jeff Daggett as Japan head

In a significant move aimed at bolstering its presence in the Japanese market, Authentic Brands Group (Authentic) has announced the appointment of Jeff Daggett as senior vice president, head of Japan.

With an annual retail sales figure surpassing USD29 billion globally, Authentic’s brands enjoy a widespread retail footprint in 150 countries, with over 13,000 freestanding stores and shop-in-shops, as well as 400,000 points of sale.

This appointment is set to leverage Daggett’s extensive industry experience to drive brand growth and strengthen Authentic’s foothold in Japan.

Wesley Chu, regional president APAC, Authentic, expressed confidence in Daggett’s ability to lead the company’s expansion efforts in Japan, stating, “Jeff’s extensive industry experience and proven track record make him an ideal leader to drive Authentic’s expansion across Japan. We are excited to welcome his strategic vision and comprehensive understanding of the market, which will not only enhance the visibility of our brands but also fuel significant growth across this pivotal market.”

Daggett brings with him over three decades of industry expertise, during which he has led brands such as Gap, Levi’s, Nike, and Vodafone.

Furthermore, he played a pivotal role in generating revenue streams for  content creators like Disney and NBC Universal.

Daggett will be based in Tokyo and officially assumed his new role on July 1.
