Located in Westfield Bondi, the new Sydney store features a façade with undulating curves, designed to mimic the movement of fabrics, leading to Versailles parquet floor, recalling that of the French luxury maison’s Parisian flagship store at 30 Avenue Montaigne.

The store’s interior comes housed with pieces of furniture, in soft shades of white, cream, beige and gray – the Christian Dior signature colour.

Inside, shoppers will be able to purchase the Dior autumn/winter 2025 ready-to-wear collection, designed by the maison’s women’s creative director, Maria Grazia Chiuri, as well as Victoire de Castellane’s Rose des Vents jewellery creations.

A second space hosts the Dior Winter 2024 line from men’s creative director Kim Jones, inspired by ballet dancer, Rudolf Nureyev. Meanwhile, in a nod the Australian lifestyle, shoppers can also browse Dior’s Beach Capsule, including a surfboard, a wetsuit, and a hammock, reflecting the house’s desire to move towards a more sustainable and innovative fashion.

The new Dior Bondi store is the fifth Dior boutique to open in Sydney, including a store in Sydney Airport.

In its most recent trading update, parent LVMH reported revenues of EUR 41.7 billion in the first half, up 1 percent, with the luxury conglomerate’s Asia excluding Japan business plummeting by double digits.

The firm’s fashion and leather goods business recorded organic revenue growth of 1 percent, with operating margin up at the firm’s flagship fashion brands, Louis Vuitton and Christian Dior, alongside a growing demand for Celine accessories.

Last month, Dior unveiled its ‘L’Or de Dior’ retrospective at the Guardian Art Center in Beijing, on show from from September 2 to 29.
