German automobile major Volkswagen plans to make India an export hub for components in the next five years. According to Maik Stephan, Managing Director, VW Group Sales India, currently around 50 percent of parts is being localised for Polo, and this will "increase to 70-80 percent", he said on Friday, without giving details of when this would happen.
