Vodafone to be an iPhone 3GS retailer in India

Telecom major Vodafone Essar on Friday said it will launch Apple iPhone 3GS in India – one of two retailers to have the license to do so – priced from INR29,500 (USD656.50). The mobile phone provides access to Apple’s App Store, which has more than 1.5 lakh (150,000) applications, ranging from games to social networking.

Its competitor, Bharti Airtel, has also announced that it will sell the handset in the country.
