Taiwan’s unemployment rate hits above 4pc, 477,000 jobless

Directorate-General of Budgeting, Accounting and Statistics (DGBS) on Monday disclosed that the unemployment rate of Taiwan in June was a record 4.21 percent, totalling 477,000 people without jobs. The number features an increase of 0.09 percent compared to May, and a 0.14-percent decrease compared to June of 2011.
