Singapore sourcing fair promises record no. of innovative gift ideas

One of Asia’s largest and most popular gift fairs, the Singapore Gifts & Premiums Fair (SGPFair) will take place this month from 28-30 July at the Suntec Singapore International Convention & Exhibition Centre.

Now in its 11th year, SGPFair promises to tempt visitors with a record number of new products from 26 countries and regions, including Australia, Japan, Korea, Malaysia, Turkey, the UK, the UAE and the US.

Exhibitors featured in the fair’s Trend-Setters Showcase include:

  • Japan-based Cordon Co. Ltd, which produces affordable, environmentally sustainable cord and bamboo packaging. Cordon’s products have become increasingly popular with Japanese retailers, in a country known for its traditionally elaborate and wasteful packaging. Exhibiting for the first time in Singapore, Cordon is showcasing packaging for sandwiches, candy, cakes and tea, as well as clothes and ties, and ornaments and accessories.
  • Singapore’s Nava Trading, which is showcasing new graphic-imprinted candy. Using production facilities in Taiwan, Nava offers customers the ability to print customised graphics on sweets, making them ideal for weddings, corporate functions and other special events.
  • US-based House of Planners, which will provide promotional flyers and marketing brochures from paper made entirely of stone. The paper does not require bleaching or acid production, reducing its environmental impact.

Visitors to SGPFair 2010 can enjoy special discounts on purchases (with some exhibitors offering as much as 50 percent off). They will also receive a free SOURCE Buyers’ Guide, the annual gifts, stationery products and supplies catalogue for sourcing agents, which normally retails at SGD25.

Aside from building its name around innovation, the fair has also become popular for its giveaways.  This year’s complimentary gifts include:

  • DVD and CD-R samples from SM Summit Holdings, purveyors of DVDs & CD-Rs which come customisable in different shapes and sizes, making them eye-catching and trendy compared to conventional round shapes!
  • Free fragrant / essential oil from Exhibitor Doll Bath & Spa Factory
  • Mechandise by animation and licensing company, Typhoon Creations, including their award-winning clip samples
  • Wine tasting from Blackbean Tradings
  • Product/Cash vouchers
    …among other great giveaways!

All popular gifts, from a popular gift fair.
