Shiseido partners with Revieve to launch world’s first digital makeup advisor experience

Beauty technology company Revieve has expanded its collaboration with luxury cosmetics and skincare brand Shiseido by launching a pioneering AI Makeup Advisor experience for the Europe, Middle East and Africa (EMEA) market.

The AI Makeup Advisor combines Revieve’s AI Selfie Analysis, AI-powered personalised recommendations, and true-to-life virtual try-on technologies to create what is claimed to be the world’s first digital makeup advisor experience.

The technology is accessible via Shiseido’s website – consumers have to upload a selfie and complete a beauty goals questionnaire. The combined data generates a comprehensive list of recommended products for the eyes, lips and face. Consumers can also virtually try on products with a simple click.

Revieve and Shiseido started working together in 2019 with the launch of the first Skincare Advisor across all Shiseido’s regional markets, followed by an array of beauty and wellness projects.

The Advisor uses zero and first-party data to create an intuitive and bespoke purchase journey while at the same time transforming the way brands understand their consumers.
