Riccardo Tisci and Hedi Slimane in pole position to take over at Dior

Designer of Givenchy (sister company of Dior within LVMH) Riccardo Tisci and former Dior menswear designer Hedi Slimane are reported to be the front runners to take over the creative director position at Dior after John Galliano was fired earlier this week.

The owner of Dior, Bernard Arnault has previously exchanged designers between Dior and Givency (John Galliano and Alexander Mc Queen) and he was pleased with Slimane’s work at Dior Men. The only ”challenging” difference between the two designers is their creative vision and inflexibility to follow certain laid out paths. The name of Alber Elbaz has also been circulating, yet, it is highly unlikely that he will be chosen due to his perspectives at Chanel replacing Lagerfeld as well as his different vision.
