On top of presenting 70 exclusive timepieces from the Panerai Museum and local private collectors, Panerai will display vintage pieces from Phillips Auction for this special exhibition dedicated to the Luminor collection.

Alongside with the vintage watches, this exhibition will also encompasses existing timepieces of the Luminor collection in order to highlight the evolution of Luminor throughout the years.

In a close collaboration with Phillips Auction, Panerai will showcase four rare and historical timepieces from 14th – 21st October. As one of the most desirable vintage dive watches, the Luminor Panerai model 6152-1 with rotating bezel has a unique prototype with three black dots at 3, 6, and 9 o’clock and a luminescent dot at 12 o’clock on the see-through bezel.

The impeccable genesis of this watch adds greatly to its historical importance and place in the history of Panerai watches.

Panerai takes pride in the strong bond between the brand and its clientele. In this historical exhibition, Panerai will reveal a wide range of pieces from the private
collections of Panerai VIPs.

The Luminor 1950 – 47 mm (PAM00127), combined with a protecting crown device, cushion-shaped case and domed sapphire crystal, has a distinctive form of sandwich dial that creates an aura of vintage Italian style.

Another notable timepiece showcased at the exhibition is the one and only one special edition Luminor 1950 8 Days GMT – 44 mm (PAM00290) made by Panerai for Sotheby’s auction in 2006.

To further highlight the evolution of Luminor and heritage with Paneristi, Panerai will present the designed limited edition Luminor Marina PVD – 44 mm (PAM00195) with ‘OP’ logo, which symbolizes Panerai’s long standing history with the Italian Navy.

To give prominence to the evolving craftsmanship over the years, Panerai will feature the Luminor skeletonised tourbillon wristwatch, Lo Scienziato – Luminor 1950 Tourbillon GMT Ceramica – 48 mm (PAM00528).

Unlike traditional tourbillons, it is characterized by the Panerai patented Tourbillon that rotates perpendicularly to the axis of the balance, completing two rotations in a minute instead of one. Another timepiece that will be displayed at the exhibition is the Luminor Lab-Id CarbotechTM – 49 mm (PAM00700).

This innovative watch has a semi-skeletonised movement completely without additional lubrication – except for the anti-shock device – and with only four jewels which reinforces the ability of Panerai’s Laboratorio di Idee to invent.

In this special exhibition, Panerai will also include its latest novelties: the manual winding Luminor Base Logo – 44 mm (PAM01086) and Luminor Logo – 44 mm (PAM01084). These two brand-new timepieces serve as an inheritance observed through widely recognized graphic codes of Panerai, and the sharp, singular lines were inspired by the first civilian models of the 1990s.
