Nike sidelines Woods for PGA show

Tiger Woods’s biggest corporate backer, Nike, has reduced the role of the golfer in its marketing at the annual three-day PGA Merchandise Show in Orlando, Florida.

Nike’s outdoor booth at the Demo Day on Thursday featured only one photo of Woods, located near an apparel display inside the company’s tent, according to Bloomberg. At the Orange County National Golf Center’s 42-acre driving range, Nike-sponsored golfers Justin Leonard and Suzann Pettersen were promoting the company’s newest clubs.
