Mobile app generator service for Taobao merchants launched

Mobile commerce applications developer Appconomy has launched a service for merchants selling on China’s e-commerce marketplace Taobao using its Cloud Commerce Platform.

The company announced that the service, named Zhangyingbao, allows merchants to create a native mobile app for their store in less than five minutes with no technical knowledge required. The service is free and available worldwide.

Brian Magierski, CEO and president of Appconomy Inc., said the service provides merchants operating virtual stores a marketing tool for advertising their shops and enhancing customer relations via in-app notifications.

"How do I form lasting relationships with my customers and reach them where they spend most of their time?" Magierski said. “The Zhangyingbao service, through the merchant-specific mobile apps it generates, offers a robust solution to the problem."

The company said more than 2,000 Taobao merchants have tested the application last November.

The service basically directly connects consumers and merchants through its Jinjin marketplace and apps for smartphones, tablets, and feature phones. It offers other services such as digital loyalty programs,
integrated marketing campaigns, engagement and reach and private labeling solutions.

The Zhangyingbao service is part of Appconomy’s Retail Marketing Suite, which helps retailers and brands improve the in-store shopping experience for consumers.
