Italian luxury label Isaia makes its foray in India

Italian luxury menswear label Isaia is making its foray into India via Mumbai-based Regalia Luxury, who will retail Isaia in an on-request format. Founded in Naples in 1920, the brand, recognised by its red coral logo, already has monobrand stores in Hong Kong, Milan, Moscow and New York.

Regalia Luxury also retails brands like Swiss luxury watch brand Bovet, British shoemaker John Lobb and Italian suit brand Kiton. Isaia is known for its made-to-measure suits and sportswear, producing its garments only in Italy in Casalnuovo di Napoli.

“We believe that partnership with key independent retailers around the world is essential and this is the reason we are exploring new and different markets, like India. We feel that because of the abundance of colour and interesting fabrics that we offer: the Indian gentleman will respond well to Isaia,” said Gianluca Isaia, CEO of Isaia.

Isaia said the company foresees an expansion into additional markets and categories of merchandise with the collaboration and did not rule out a foray into e commerce.

“We recently launched e-commerce in the US and Europe with a very unique website that features not only the product that we sell but also information on the brand, our history and Neapolitan culture. Extending this platform into India and beyond is a very natural move,” he said.
