Indonesia’s Global Digital Niaga (GDN) set aside USD10 million to develop its e-commerce website Blibli.com, GDN’s CEO said on Thursday.
GDN CEO Kusumo Martanto said the money would go toward improving the site’s information technology system, networks, human resources training, marketing and promotions.
Competition among Indonesia’s e-commerce businesses has taken on higher stakes, as the country’s total internet users grew 32 percent to 55 million people from 2010 to 2011, according to research firm MarkPlus Insight.
