Woolworths has received sworn allegiance from thousands of shoppers in just a day, after teaching a user how to cook spaghetti to the tune of a famous Eminem rap.
Facebook user Jamie McGloin reached out to the supermarket on Monday, writing a tongue-in-cheek post on Woolworths’ page about purchasing spaghetti, using lyrics from Eminem’s song Lose Yourself. In response, the supermarket used the same lyrics to encourage the customer to cook spaghetti, prompting a communal thumbs up on Facebook.
The supermarket’s response yielded more than 120,850 "likes" (and counting). It triggered a plethora of memes with various depictions of Eminem, spaghetti, and the original customer’s face. Creative hashtags also flowed, including: #WooliesIsFresher.
