Social Media Week is a multi-city global conference connecting people, content and conversations around emerging trends in social and mobile media. Hong Kong is one of 12 cities participating in this global platform, including Hamburg, London, Miami, New York, Paris, San Francisco, Sao Paulo, Singapore, Tokyo, Toronto and Washington DC.
Social Media Week took place in Hong Kong from 13 – 17 February 2012. It marks the second year the week-long event has been held in the city. This year, Social Media Week brought together over 3,000 attendees across 40 events with online conversation generating over 400,000 tweets.
SMWHK is organised and led by City Partner Cohn&Wolfe-impactasia together with a team of 22 Advisory Board members who have helped to curate the overall event content through the support of a diverse set of events partners across the city. As one of the advisory board members, Harbour City hosted four different events during Social Media Week 2012, with the topics of Food & Beverage, Travel, Fashion & Beauty as well as Technology.
With hundreds of tenants and friends from the industry’s support, four events were sold out quickly. In total, Harbour City had invited over 20 speakers to share their social media journeys.
