Taiwan-based notebook makers Quanta Computer, Compal Electronics, Wistron and Inventec are considering establishing a common component supply chain platform, according to industry sources.
The move will help lower purchasing costs for the makers and boost their overall competitiveness against South Korea- and China-based players, the sources noted.
