JAL to end cargo-only service in October

Japan Airlines Corp. said on 26 March it will end cargo-only flights at the end of October as part of its efforts to turn around its loss-making operations after it filed for bankruptcy in January.

Despite the withdrawal from cargo flights, which account for about 25 percent of JAL’s international freight transport, the carrier will continue carrying freight by using cargo space on its international and domestic passenger flights.
