China’s manufacturing activity climbed to a 20-month high in December, fuelled by a strong rise in new orders and output as a result of robust domestic consumption. The official purchasing managers’ index (PMI) last month came in at 56.6 from 55.2 in November, according to the China Federation of Logistics and Purchasing.
