Taiwan’s Wintek claims poisoned China workers given proper medical care

Taiwan-based LCD and touch-panel maker Wintek, in response to reports that it is being sued by workers who became sick allegedly due to exposure to a poisonous chemical at its China subsidiary, has maintained that it has already taken proper measures, including providing medical treatment for affected employees.

It has been reported that 44 workers at its subsidiary, United Win (China), are planning legal actions against Wintek, claiming they were poisoned by a chemical, n-hexane, used to clean screens for the Apple iPhone.
