Epson to pay USD7m to settle US anti-trust suit

Seiko Epson Corp. has agreed to pay USD7 million to settle a class-action anti-trust lawsuit in the US with direct purchasers of liquid crystal displays, according to a court filing.

Two units of Seiko Epson – Epson Imaging Devices Corp. and Epson Electronics America Inc. – were accused in the suit of price fixing. They filed a notice of the settlement in a US federal court yesterday.
