Woolworths CEO’s remuneration doubles

Woolworths CEO Grant O’Brien’s income has increased by more than AUD2 million (USD2.1m) in his second year in the position.

O’Brien was paid a total of AUD4.244m for year to 24 June 2012, which included AUD473,876 in shares, up from AUD2.044m the previous year.

Woolworths said in its annual report that the average remuneration increase for its executives, excluding O’Brien, who were in their positions for the full 2011/12 financial year was 3.6 percent.
