Wine company to cut jobs in Australia’s Adelaide

A major wine company will cut 175 jobs in Australia’s Adelaide following a decision to close its local bottling operations.

Accolade Wines has entered into an agreement to have Treasury Wine Estates (TWE) bottle its products in Australia. In return, Accolade will bottle for TWE in the UK.

Accolade Wines CEO Troy Christensen said the agreement would provide efficiencies for both companies after changing market dynamics created surplus bottling capacity in the Australian wine industry.
