Report: 2012 HK salary survey, Links Recruitment

From a macro point of view, the global economy looks exceptionally uncertain. Despite globalisation, a dichotomy is appearing in the regional economies. Hong Kong, with its exposure to the global markets, will see challenges in the first two quarters. With the continued Eurozone ciris, the city will be exposed to the corporate "wait and see" strategy for growth from the West. However, even with china growth slowing, Hong Kong will continue to benefit from the growth of the middle class in China driving consumer demand and associated corporate growth. The first quarter will be very challenging with a recovery beginning in the second quarter. From the second quarter onwards, growth will come from Asia-based firms looking to expand outside of their corporate homes, and the US firms doing the same.

In Hong Kong, growth in Sales, Marketing & Retail business is expected and salaries will remain flat for the year. This report, 2012 Hong Kong Salary Survey by Links Recruitment, the professional consultancy in recruitment, payroll solutions and HR services, forecasts the salary trend in various sectors in the city.
