Indonesia: Swallow workers to receive half of monthly salary

Indonesia’s Swallow sandal factory management will provide its permanent workers, who are now temporarily laid off, half of their monthly salary following the fire that razed their workplace two weeks ago.

A spokesperson for the company’s human resources department said on 18 March that Swallow, which is located in West Jakarta, had not decided when salaries would be paid or for how many months they would be provided.
