Chinese authorities have found KYE Systems Corp., a Taiwan electronics manufacturer that assembles products for Microsoft Corp. and other technology companies, guilty of illegal labour practices, according to a Chinese news report.
The newspaper said KYE’s two factories in Guangdong province have been employing more than 300 underage workers between 16 and 18 years old without registration, though no workers under 16 have been found.
KYE faces unspecified administrative penalties if work practices aren’t changed to comply with Chinese law, according to the China Daily report.
