Uniqlo donates winter clothing to Special Olympics in South Korea

Uniqlo’s operations in Japan, South Korea and Singapore are supplying full sets of specially designed winter clothing to athletes representing their respective countries in the 2013 Special Olympics World Winter Games in South Korea.

The casual clothing brand said its Japan operations will supply some 1,200 items of clothing to its national team, while Uniqlo South Korea and Uniqlo Singapore will contribute, 3,200 and 500, respectively, to their own athletes.

The Uniqlo winter wear, which includes jackets, long sleeve shirts, neck warmers, cargo pants, gloves, ang long Johns, will come with designs featuring each team’s official logos.

Since 2002, Uniqlo has supported Special Olympics Nippon by providing apparel to athletes and sending employees to assist at events as volunteers.

The 2013 Special Olympics World Winter Games will beheld in PyeongChang and Gangneung in South Korea from 29 January to 5 February.
