Earth Hour 2010 – every little bit counts

In 2007 2.2 million people in Sydney took part in the first Earth Hour by simultaneously participating in the simple yet powerful gesture of switching off their lights for 60 minutes in an action against climate change. In 2009 the number of participants grew to hundreds of millions, spread throughout 88 countries.

Earth Hour 2010, to be held this year on 27 March from 8:30pm, aims to raise public awareness on climate change by mobilising companies, communities, schools and individuals to demonstrate one message: individual action is important and it adds up to a big difference in saving the earth from global warming and making the world a more beautiful place.
