Hong Kong telecommunications service provider HKT’s newly launched mobile payment platform Tap & Go has partnered with popular online shopping platform Taobao Marketplace to bring a more convenient and secure online payment experience to users of Taobao Marketplace’s Hong Kong page and Tmall.com.
Between 16 October and 31 December 2015, users of Taobao Marketplace’s Hong Kong page and Tmall.com spending HKD200 (USD26) or more in a single transaction on the platform and paying by Tap & Go are eligible for a one-off cash rebate totalling HKD100, and a 50 percent off for the service charge.
Embedded in an NFC-based all-in-one SIM card, Tap & Go enables CSL or 1010 customers to make mobile payments by using their NFC mobile phones at more than three million MasterCard PayPass merchant locations worldwide. The service also enables secure and reliable online purchases and payments for customers.
CSL flagship store in Causeway Bay, which officially opened on Thursday, has set up a "Taobao Marketplace x Tap & Go" zone to support Taobao Marketplace’s Hong Kong page and Tap & Go-related service inquiries.
