Coupang, Korea’s “everything store”, raises USD100m at over USD1b valuation

Sequoia Capital is leading a USD100 million investment in Coupang, the Seoul-based "everything store", representing venture investors’ continued bullish outlook when it comes to e-commerce startups that have plenty of customers in Asia.

Institutional firms made similarly large bets on in India and Lazada in Southeast Asia over the past year, for example.

More exciting, perhaps, are the IPO possibilities for these companies.
