TFWA Asia Pacific & GATE ONE2ONE duty free and travel retail event is set to break records with more exhibitors and larger exhibition spaces than ever before.
Such has been the demand for stands at the event, which will run from 13 to 17 May, that a new "Mezzanine" exhibition space will be provided on level 3 at the front of Singapore Suntec to accommodate around 20 additional exhibitors.
The addition of the Mezzanine level brings the total sold exhibition space to nearly 7,000 square metres, well over the previous record of 6,330 square metres which was achieved in 2008.
Among the exhibitors already confirmed for the new Mezzanine are Pandora in jewellery, Desigual and Mandarina Duck in fashion & accessories and Lubritrade (distributor of Stella Artois, Leffe, Budweiser, Hoogarden, Beck’s, and other beverages).
The Mezzanine exhibition space will be flanked by the popular TFWA Asia Pacific Bar at one end and the TFWA office suite at the other, with security at entrances to restrict access to TFWA badge-holders. The TFWA Press Centre will also be located on this level.
TFWA is delighted to report that to date 234 prestigious exhibiting companies have confirmed their stands, compared with 200 at the same stage last year, with more confirmations pending. The final exhibitor total last year was 212 occupying slightly over 6,200 m2 on level 4.
Among the 57 major brands making their debut or returning after an absence to TFWA Asia Pacific & GATE ONE2ONE will be P&G Prestige and La Prairie fragrances & cosmetics; Furla, La Perla and Zilli fashion & accessories; Beam Global/The Edrington Group and Morrison Bowmore Distillers spirits producers; Goldkenn and Churchill’s Confectionery; Elsa Groupe SAM and Secret Wish jewellery; Philip Morris International tobacco; Travel Retail Innovations electronics.
