Beer is it, as Coca-Cola Amatil’s profits get a boost

Thirsty drinkers in Australia and across the Pacific have helped propel Coca-Cola Amatil’s full-year earnings 16.4-percent higher to a record AUD449 million (USD403 million), as the beverage group prepares for a bigger push into the alcohol sector and growing returns from its Indonesian operations.

The company, whose traditional Coca-Cola brands are backed up by a growing portfolio of juices, energy drinks, beers, coffee and water, recorded robust volume growth for the year, up 3.9 percent to 555.1 million unit cases.
