John Hardy expands e-business with managed hosting support

Luxury handmade jewelry brand John Hardy has partnered with Rackspace Hosting to help it grow its e-business revenue.

The brand has been launching country specific websites in phases for its customers throughout the world as part of its business plan. It needed a trusted global hosting partner with instantaneous support.

Janice Chan, e-commerce director, John Hardy USA Services Ltd., said more and more people are going online to search for and purchase luxury products. This year, the brand has recorded 100 percent year-on-year growth of purchases online.

“This reinforced our need to work with a reliable hosting partner to keep our website up and running 24/7 in order for our valued customers to be satisfied with our website performance," she said. "Rackspace helps provide our customers and visitors with fast and easy access to our websites, greatly reducing the page load time and enhancing the user experience.”

John Hardy started hosting its global websites in Rackspace’s datacenters in Chicago and Hong Kong in June 2011.

Rackspace provides a solid and reliable hosting infrastructure, backed by a 100 percent network uptime guarantee. Among the benefits are increased server capacity that meets the brand’s marketing drive and enhances customer experience.

Mark Randall, interim managing director of Rackspace Asia-Pacific, said offering a stable and secure online experience is crucial for any e-commerce business especially at a time when online shopping is becoming a significant stream of revenue for business.

John Hardy said it will be launching its website for Hong Kong shoppers very soon.
