Taiwan-based HTC Corp. is set to face increasing competition in the global smartphone market in 2010 as other branded vendors – including Motorola, Samsung Electronics, LG Electronics and Sony Ericsson – gear up to launch new smartphones, say industry sources in Taiwan.
