Groupon to close operations in Taiwan by year end

Groupon Taiwan, a group-buying website, notified its patrons on Wednesday that unused coupons can be fully refunded, one day after it suspended operations in Taiwan. Groupon Taiwan said that if customers still have coupons for commodity items and travel products, they can continue to use them until the expiration date. The Taipei City Government said a day earlier that Groupon has notified that it would lay off workers before closing its operations in Taiwan at the end of the year.
