China’s Gome, Japan’s Sharp sign USD886m TV sales agreement

Chinese electronics and home-appliances retailer Gome and Japanese LCD-screen maker Sharp have signed a strategic agreement in which Gome is eyeing sales of CNY6 billion (USD886.2 million) in Sharp LCD TVs from 1 July to the end of 2010.

This is reportedly Sharp’s largest sales agreement in China and it is an increase of 70 percent compared with the agreement signed by the two parties in 2009.
