In less than a year Android-driven mobile phones have taken half of the market in China.
Android is a mobile operating system now owned by Google and based upon Linux. Google and other members of the Open Handset Alliance keep Android pretty much free and open to the world.
Morgan Keegan analyst Tavis McCourt believes the bulk of about 10 million phones sold in the last year were Android Phones.
