Aeon Mall BSD City to pilot cashless payment systems for food court

AEON MALL BSD (Bumi Serpong Damai) CITY in Tangerang, Indonesia is set to launch a new cashless payment system for its food court.

NEC Indonesia was tapped to provide the system consisting of retail terminals and software that will enable cashless transactions for both food court customers and stallholders.

Payments for food and beverage will be made via an electronic card, which can be topped up at a central cashier or kiosk.

The electronic payment system is expected to bring convenience to both stallholders and food court customers and to help AEON MALL BSD CITY streamline business operations and track stallholders’ sales.

Information from the data collected can also be used to help improve the food court’s service to customers.

NEC Indonesia has successfully implemented retail point-of-sales solutions for convenience stores and retail chain stores in the past, with implementations for 7-Eleven and Alfamart.

AEON MALL BSD CITY has over 100,000 square meters of leased area and will be one of the biggest shopping malls in BSD CITY.
